I was researching a novel “G” and ended up doing research on another “IN” and then when I was writing “IN” I ended up writing “B2S.”To keep things straight, that is three stories, and one complete manuscript our of those three…. Meanwhile I have picked “S” again and wonder what other wondrous distractions will seduce me along the way…After all the more i think of “G” the more I want to write it…

About being a writer

including the lousy spelling and typos due to faster fingers than brains, and total impatience as the trademark of those who arrive late.1….  ……and then,I am working on an essay of which I have almost 2000 words and now I got stuck on a detail, the sort of thing that only happens when not writing fiction.

Matt Dillon does a great job of playing Hank Chinaski, if for nothing else other than the fact that to me he speaks right into my heart…. One of the many scenes that touched home with me was when Henry (Hank) goes home to his parents needing a place to sleep and his father ends up throwing him out of the house.

My double life…

Obviously I like his approach, otherwise why would I keep on hanging around with a man who never calls me by my first name during those so intense and private moments of our intimacy?I have however had a few surprises while writing under pseudonym, and then a few more when disclosing that I do so….  I have a third name tacked on to the official Dannie Jost, but it is one that I do not use every day since it is the relic of my long departed third husband, it is an arab name that makes it rather comfortable to enter any country in the middle east, but brings about all sorts of discrimination and misunderstanding in the rest of the world.

If ever

This clearly has to do with my own fears, and not much with him.If you are reading this, that means that you either got the link from me directly or you have found on your own by clicking through my more visible blog or as a result of a search engine’s crawling. What is clear to me, and I do not particularly care if anybody else has figured this out, is that I have a certain tendency to structure and organize in a way that I tend to not think is obvious.
