Events from the past month make it that I barely recognize my life today. I really do not know what set off the avalanche or if it is that I am looking at things with new eyes. Whichever way, change is welcome and change is life.

It is late and I just got off the phone and then exchanged a few pleasant words over Skype with another reboot participant and speaker, yet most on my mind is my favorite geek of all, that geek who has been my inspiration all along, my son….  He is in California right now, and if I want to do all the milliard things that I leave for the last minute before a trip, then I can not let my emotions get wrapped around on how much I miss him.

This got a series of phone calls going, like all families, we are complicated and in this case it is not straight forward as who talks to whom, and I do happen to be one of the information gatekeepers….  In this case this great-aunt, a spinster par excellence, she had spend a lot of her time with me and I do have fond memories of her.Those news took care of the next two hours as made arrangements to attend the funeral.
